i7 930
6gb ram

Planning on running tf2 servers on this.
How much does hyperthreading affect server fps?
When i have 2 smaller servers (less than 14 slots) per physical core, will there be jitter introduced to the servers?
I'm assuming that hyperthreading works kinda like multitasking per core at the cpu hardware level.

That is way more then enough for 2 32 slot tf2 servers, thus hyper-threading will do nothing for you. I find that the main problem with "jitter" is network speed. Like right now I have 9 TF2 serves with fps set to 1000 (2 32 wave 666 mvm servers (6/6 on both), 5 21 regular slot serves, 1 21 huntsman hell, & 1 21 ponyville_b7 idle server ) with 48 players (at the time of posting) in total running on a vShpere with 3 AMD 2.8 Ghz cores, 6 GB's of RAM, and a dedicated 1 Gb/s nic, and the average ping is 87ms, with the highest being 207ms but he lives on the other side of the world with a college connection speed.

I have the highest residential package fios can offer, 50/30 Mb/s. You can download the Speedtest.net Mini Tester, this will test the connection from your web server to anyone's that clicks it computer. You can test mine here if you want to.
