As the title says, how can i do that without restarting the server ? And is there any plugin that can dynamically change slots depending on players that are on the server ? I saw this on some servers.

Rent a server with an incredibly high slot limit (e.g. 64 slots).

Then use sv_visiblemaxplayers to set the current visible max players, shown at the server list (e.g. 32). Then your server shows only 32 slots.

Then you can adjust "sv_visiblemaxplayers" to show anything from 1 - 64.

TF2 is capped MAXIMUM to 32 slots (source engine's limit might be 64).

Furthermore, 32 slots is only officially reserved for the MvM gamemode only. For any other gamemode, 24 slots is the standard.

If you want to change the number of slots on your server, you must restart the server since that value is set on the command line launch parameter (and if you rent your server from a GSP most won't allow this anyway).

If you want to change the number of visible slots available (which is <= total slots) then use sv_visiblemaxplayers like arne suggested.

1.Is there any plugin that can dynamically change slots depending on players that are on a server, let's say there are no player, then there will be 20 visible slots max on the server, when 20 is reach, 22, and this goes on to 32... i have seen something like this on other servers.
2. Is there any plugin that i can set to execute commands(sv_visiblemaxplayers) at specific amount of time in a day ?
Edit: For 2, i found this one https://forums.alliedmods.net/showth...ommand+execute

Sorry to necro this thread, but I'm looking for something like what misterG wanted. Basically:

If there's 0-25 players, display max players = 26.
26-32 players, display max players = 32.

Anyone have something like this floating around? I'll love you forever.

Bonus Option B:
0-23 = 24 max players
24-25 = 26 max players
26-27 = 28 max players
28-29 = 30 max players
30-32 = 32 max players

Doing that in TF2 is almost certainly a Policy of Truth violation.
