Hi,

I written a little script, which automatically writes a gamemodes.txt.
The file seems to be ok, syntax ok, values ok.
But when I start the server, it crashes:
GameTypes: could not find matching game type for value "1".
GameTypes: could not find matching game mode value of "1" and type value of "0".
Here is the file:
gamemodes.txt

Can someone see the error?

Thanks

don't edit game default game modes txt files.
Use gamemodes_server.txt

Yes, the error doesn't appear.
But all custom settings (mapgroups, maxplayers, weapons on gungame) are not set.
How to do that with gamemodes_server.txt?

Greets

The changes I made still have no effect.
I just changed maxplayers value and the server is running with the setting of gamemodes.txt and not from gamemodes_server.txt
Why?

How do we know, have you done it right if you not post your gamemode_server.txt input ?
gamemode.txt DON'T COPY AND USE THIS EXAMPLE!

gamemode_server.txt EXAMPLE WHAT YOU CAN USE FREELY

+game_type 1 +game_mode 0 +mapgroup my_mapgroup +map ar_shoots

When affecting to already exist gamemode settings, you can override and add more settings.
But not remove them.

To remove settings... you have to build whole new custom mode.

Ok, I followed your instroctions:

- made an update on server to receive original gamemodes.txt
- written a gamemodes_server.txt like you (atteched)
- createt maplist.txt and mapcycle.txt with maps listed in mapgroup
- started the server with :
/bin/sh ./srcds_run -game csgo -usercon +game_type 1 +game_mode 0 +mapgroup igamaps +map ar_shoots +port 35015 +ip 83.136.86.51 +clientport 35017

And look tere, it's still running with 10 players, still the overriding doesn't work!
Any ideas?
