Seems to just shut off game for players on the server without any errors or warnings.

Hi,

I sent a PM to Andi too.
I attached the code here too, since some of those having the 'bots taking admins skins' problem might want to check it out.

I also have a question for Andi: Is there a maximum number of files that can be put in skinchooserdownloads.ini?
I had a special event with a lot of models and some of the vmt files were not downloaded by clients.
All files were downloaded except a few .vmts.

But I'm wondering if it is because the .vmts were compressed as .bz2 files on the fast dl server, while these are only text files and should not be compressed.
I took the models from Andi and Slow's forums, and the vmt files of Slow's forum are already compressed in the archives, and I think that this is a problem.
To be honest, as soon as I decompressed these files on the fast dl server and restarted the server, everything worked fine, at least with the player I tested with (she was not seeing some models and after that, she did).

NB: When the players did not download or decompress the vmts properly (but all the rest), they were seeing invisible models, and not purple/error models.
So I start to understand the big problem that some people who wrote here were having.
I think some players download and decompress the files properly, while some others don't.
NB2: I swear it was not a wrong path/wrong setting problem, I didn't change them after I decompressed vmt files on the mirror and restarted the server.

Well I never heard of this but it is possible and if so it´s a valvebug.For the skinchooserdownloads.ini , there is no limit.....
