Actually, I've never bothered to debug this plugin ...but this is amazing ... ... ...

You can actually achieve a 100% perfect boosted server with this plugin without artifacts.
Yes, the gameplay is real. This plugin is not bullshit at all.

What this means is that you don't need a High Resolution Timer to be able to host a good server!
mm_insane 1 or 2 fixes that for you.


Edit: How do I know this?
If you look deeper and test out bugged values like 125, 333 or 666 you will never achieve a stable server. However, at clean values, sys_ticrate 200, 300, 400 and so on, the server becomes stable and you achieve 0 ping on scoreboard, and perfect hit reg.
Only downside to this plugin is high cpu-usage regardless of settings, you won't have this problem with a high resolution timer.

Edit 2: I played this damn game for 10 years now, I know from experience how a server is supposed to feel like ;)

Are you sure this module still working on latest hlds update 5758 windows? because after i update my hlds into this version, it seem this module doesn't boost any fps anymore. Fps about at ~90

Oh I'm sorry, still on the old build here, 5408. My HLDS is like "autoupdate? screw that stuff administrator, we like it oldschool...".

Anyway, this plugin is for real! - I'll test to force a update and report back.

Boosts like a charm on 5758 too. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit.

mm_insane 0 = 1024 FPS
mm_insane 1/2 = 80k FPS

Check that your addons folder is correctly set up

Tested again, i put mmtimer on top in plugin.ini Now its work like previous hlds version:

Try out lower values like first 200. If it's stable, don't bother to go any higher, because there is no difference in gameplay between a properly boosted 200FPS vs 1000FPS vs 1M FPS or 100FPS for that matter.

Some more feedback here. Been experimenting with OS Linux vs Win and settings.

When the server is calm the FPS is high at 1k, even 14k. However under action (gun fight scenes) it suffers.

Win 2008 R2
Under action (gun fights ect) 18 bots 1 player
FPS drop from 14k to 80.
Unstable. Only server running.
Just HLDS newest version, metamod and podbot.
CPU at 30% and RAM over 6GB free.

Same thing with:
- high res enabled or disabled
- sys_ticrate 200-10000
- pingboost any selection
- rates low or high
