sick plugin. just coming back to source need to setup my server

anyone know why Sound folder isnt working for CS:S servers?? I have Spank2 and Quake sounds and none of them are working in my server..

I added the following to css/hl2/pure_server_whitelist.txt file:

sound\misc\... allow_from_disk

And

sv_allowupload 1
sv_allowdownload 1 set these to 1 and still nothing wont work... some reason anytime i add a new sound or any folder it always has me re-download the same sound.wav file over and over when map changes or I re-connect but its still saying the same thing and it always says "Failed to load sound "misc\bendover.wav", file probably missing from disk/repository"

If it's downloading "over and over" you're not really downloading it. Make sure you're using sv_downloadurl as using trickle download often causes issues.

Its upset as shown here and took out the numbers for securing reasons:
sv_downloadurl "http://ftp address/serverIP"

Fastdownload should be on a separate webserver.

Should be "http://www.mysite.com/cstrike/"
Then you need to have a folder on your web site called "cstrike".
Inside that you need the "sound" folder, and everything inside of it should follow the exact same hierarchy as it is inside your "sound" folder on the gameserver.

Basically, it only downloads "over and over" if the server can't find the file to give to the client.

Well, I don't have access to the fastdownload.. I'm renting from Xenon Servers.. thats how they have it set soo i should just copy and paste what you said on a ticket?

No, you need to rent a webserver and host the files on it.

Either that or tell them their icluded fast download service isn't working properly.
