I'm on windows, mine is fine too. I guess the guy was expecting some kind of content update for the ext to go with the tf2 update.

I'm on linux and all my servers work fine with tf2items and last update.

EDIT: Here we go. BE WARNED: it now looks for the default tf2items.weapons.txt in addons/sourcemod/configs/tf2items/
Default file is configs/tf2items/tf2items.weapons.txt, change the convar tf2items_manager_file to, say, "pants.weapons", and it will look for configs/tf2items/pants.weapons.txt
If this file is missing it uses tf2items.weapons.txt in configs/tf2items/

You'll need to compile it yourself.
Got around to implementing this tonight...I even compiled it myself . Seems to be working like a charm. Removed the weapons for pl/cp maps etc still on for fun achievement maps etc. Thanks again.
