Yes, another one of
those threads. Apologies. Not entirely sure if this is even the right place but I'm here now.
So I've decided to install sourcemod on one of my servers, done it serveral times in the past for various games with no issues whatsoever, this time around however metamod just refuses to start. I can't help but think I'm missing something laughable simple somewhere but here goes anyway:
I toddled off to the metamod:source site and got the latest version (1.9.0, linux) copied the files over to my addons folder, then made and uploaded the .vdf file. The game is tf2 and the file structure is correct: /tf/addons/metamod/bin and the server.so files are there. The .vdf file is in the addons folder and looks like:
Code:
"Plugin"
{
"file" "../tf/addons/metamod/bin/server"
}
just as generated on the metamod site.
The server boots up as normal but
plugin_print only returns the other plugin I have running and obviously
meta version returns
unknown command "meta". I've tried removing this other plugin incase there was some weird conflict but still no joy.
OS is debian 6.0 64bit with, i think, all the relevent 32bit libs loaded.
I think that's about it. And I'm still sure I'm missing something laughable simple.
Cheers.
