i would like to be able to query the whois servers like ARIN, and get information on an ip, however i do not know the protocol for whois so this is a request out there for someone to do this.
just be able to query the whois and get information like who the ip rage belongs to, (ie AOL, Verizon, some colleges... etc)

I like this toll the most, http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/ptr.ch?ip=192.168.100.1 , this allows you to simply plop the IP on to the end of the url and hit enter, to find information on that IP address. This time around I picked out ReverseDNS Lookups.
