The sky is set by map name. If you change to another map, it wont set your custom sky on that map unless set up that map also.

up,dn,lf,ft,rt,bk ...files..
i want black sky.
so . . can sky change the 1 file ?
because 6file all black tga. <-- 193kb x 6 = 1158 kb file is big.. i want small file .
so , i want 1file black tga. sky the black.
only 6 files ?? can 6screen see that 1.tga file ?

No you need all 6 .tga files. However, there is already a black sky in HL, if you use that you dont need this plugin. Just add this to your server.cfg.

Would using mod default sky's even need this plugin? Could they just be set using amxmodx map configs and "sv_skyname"? (will test, unless a quick reply is made)

Also, why does this plugin need engine? was something moved to core like precache_generic that I don't recall.


Never thought of this, nice idea. Could use new file natives and formatex for good measure though (yes I do realize the age).

That's what I stated. Yea I guess this needs update, back then precace_generic was in engine.

That's what I figured, was just a bit confused when that guy Paulster1022 was trying to use this plugin to use "backalley" sky on a map... Maybe put a small explaination that they could use map configs for default sky's in the top post if you ever edit it?


Could probably set the cvar in precache too so you wouldn't need to check the file twice?
