Hello,
I wanted to play some workshop maps on my private dedicated server but I'm having problems with it.
When I try to download some map by typing "host_workshop_map 125488374", the server doesn't react to the command at all, there's no output, even when I set "sv_debug_ugc_downloads" and "developer" to 1.
I have the authkey and the gameserver account set up. Command line:
Code:
srcds.exe -game csgo -console -usercon -authkey F5############86 +ip 10.0.0.5 +hostport 27015 +game_type 0 +game_mode 1 +mapgroup mg_active +map de_overpass -maxplayers_override 32 -tickrate 64 +sv_pure 0 +sv_lan 1
The only line I see in the console that would indicate there's something wrong, is this one: Cannot init steam datagram client, no Steam HTTP interface

Running the server on Windows of course (Windows Server 2012 R2). What could have gone wrong? Is it about the error message above?

A problem I see is your starting the server up with a +mapgroup and not a +host_workshop_collection

Using +host_workshop_collection and +workshop_start_map instead of +map and +mapgroup doesn't seem to help, it makes the server never load a map. I don't recall having to do this either, I remember I could just start the server and use host_workshop_map via console to start a map from Workshop...

Sounds like a firewall issue.

Firewall on the server is completely turned off for convenience (since it's just my own private server, I don't really mind its security that much). And I don't think port forwarding would apply here, would it?

so maybe we could see all of your console output with the debugging turned on? I have no problems hosting the dust2_se map you ID'd in the OP. Server is on a LAN so does this computer have access to the internet?

Code:
CDedicatedServerWorkshopManager: received file details for id 125488374: 'Dust 2_se'.
Starting download for file id 125488374:'Dust 2_se'.
Receiving bytes 0-1048576 for file maps/workshop/125488374/125488374.tmp (de_dust2_se.bsp)
Receiving bytes 1048576-2097152 for file maps/workshop/125488374/125488374.tmp (de_dust2_se.bsp)
Receiving bytes 2097152-3145728 for file maps/workshop/125488374/125488374.tmp (de_dust2_se.bsp)
Receiving bytes 3145728-4194304 for file maps/workshop/125488374/125488374.tmp (de_dust2_se.bsp)
...
type : community dedicated
map : workshop/125488374/de_dust2_se
