Hi!

I have a problem with my dedicated server. And let me begin with saying
I've disabled my firewall and I'm directly connected to the
DSL-modem(which hasn't any firewall or such).

It is a dedicated server and my friends can easily join by using the
connect command in console. They can also add it on favorites though
there's one problem which persists to be there. It doesn't show up on the internet tab!

I've ripen out all of my hair-bags because of this and I'm tired of being hairless.
So what am I supposed to do? In the console the "Successfully connected to steam servers"
message comes up but apparently that doesn't help!

So what is this secret to get it all working and could you please unfold it for me?

Here is my "server.cfg"
Code:
// server name
hostname "Surf_AG-Final 24/7 - Respawn"

if it shows up and running on your favorites then it should show up under the internet tab! maybe just let it refresh for a good while until it finds it.

You need someone outside of your house to check and see if it shows up in the server list. Also, as Philmagroin said, if they can add it to their favorites you can't do any more.

Ok, well I just asked four friends and all of them could add the
server to favorites but no one of them could see it on the internet
tab. And here's the most interesting part, it shows up on both gametracker and game-monitor.

Though I think it is because I used "setmaster" to add some IPs
And about Philmagroin reply, they've refreshed as long as they possibly can.

Any more tips?

Use setmaster only for Non-Steam! For Steam, they would connect you to steam servers (Correct me if i'm wrong)... So remove the setmasters!

I've removed them though I still have the same problem.
But I've discovered something interesting. Some people can find the server but only like 10 percent of all my friends...

Anyone have a clue what's going on??

NOTICE: I have sv_region 3

It happens for me, I don't see my serveur on the internet list but people can connect without problems, so it means they see my server. It doesn't matter if YOU don't see the server in your list.

I see my server in the server list and a few of my friends. And a random Norwegian joined somehow. It is just so weird.

Do you think it would help to reinstall steam or something?

Probably not. When the steam server browser has to find several thousand servers it's not surprising it will miss a few.

My advice is to live with it.

I see. But could it possibly be because my network drivers?

And this seems pretty stupid but could it also be because the
router connected to the DSL-modem is changing the modem somehow??
I mean would it just be stupid to try through the router??

(I'm connected directly to the DSL-modem)

EDIT: For 2 years ago, or maybe more. I had a different computer and
a different DSL-modem (though it was the exact same as our current only older (same model))
would that give any clue to what is going on?
