I could have sworn that the cl_timeout value was 30 by default. I've had mine set to 60 for a while and haven't timed out since.

Can anyone confirm that this works?

This didn't work for me in TF2. Clients had their default timeout time when the server went down.

I thought it was 30 too. But heck, this works well anyway

Ok double-checked. The default is 30.

Doesn't work in tf2 because you can't clientcommand most stuff in tf2.

Its like they opened it up to a fair share more commands in l4d.

I had a feeling that could be the case, but the "This plugin isn't only for L4D, it works on any source based game, but since i made it for l4d and i was too lazy to rename it ." in the op initially convinced me otherwise.

I shouldn't have said "it works" but "it could work".

I removed that paragraph from the main post.

Can you add same thing for cl_updaterate and force it to whatever value i will state in config? And possibly more such commands which will improve performance.

I think i can edit code myself but since youre author... Would be nice addition. I dont know if that cvar can be forcefully changed for clients though.
