[Urgant] mapchooser.smx Prevents server from starting.

Hi Guys,

After 2 hours of frustration I have found the underlying cause in which is preventing my CSS server from starting up. The mapchooser.smx plugin which comes along with the Sourcemod installation in the /disabled folder is broken and needs to be fixed.

The server does not start up when mapchooser.smx is moved from the /plugins/disabled folder however once that plugin is absent from the /plugins folder it is technically inactive and as a result the server boots just fine.

It is obvious that there is something seriously wrong with the mapchooser.smx plugin. I really really want this plugin working on my server so I can then use the Rock the vote plugin.

Could you maybe provide me with a working version of the mapchooser.smx plugin?

I am running CSS on Linux CentOS 5 via the scrds installation.

I doubt there is a problem with mapchooser and CSS otherwise there would be tons of reports about it. You could try disabling everything but MM:S, SM, and SM's first-party extensions and plugins to see if it makes a difference.

I have carried out the following to support my evidence:

- Renamed addons to addons1 (Server Then Boots Fine)

- Renamed the plugins folder to plugins1 (Server Then Boots Fine)

- Renamed plugins 1 back to plugins (Server Then Does NOT boot)

- Removed the plugin "mapchooser.smx" from the /plugins directory back into the disabled directory (Server Boots fine with all existing plugins)

I have spent enough time to now realise that it is the plugin which is crashing the server.

Is anyone else having this problem? What steps should I take???

Also I get:

L 12/01/2011 - 10:56:40: [SM] Changed map to "cs_assault"
Unable to change level!

When I attempt to change the servers map???

Found the underlying cause:

In my server.cfg there was a line stating "deathmatch 0" this was causing the server to crash upon map change and stopping the mapchooser.smx plugin from working.

Wierd.
In Cs:s if you have deathmatch 0, can't change map...
