Yep, I did all that and no go. Thats on a GS Linux, and tried it locally on dedi - no go there either.

Do you have l4d 2 addon support installed from steam/tools?
Maybe you need that for the download part to work.

Btw, you don't see if it downloads. Connection just takes a little longer, and if you look closely in console,
you might see what you've downloaded.

should i give my edited files that unlock all melee weapons ? they are working on my server without upload needed and it seems that they work on all maps the bad thing on my files is that the vpk and dll need to be updated on each valve patch

EDIT: they also work in all other gamemodes without to bug the game

The VPK I use in the first post works on my server fine and all games I have played have worked 100% for all players...

My server is a windows server, thus this could be a linux problem, though I doubt it.

@dani1341 - My VPK also works in all game modes without bugs, as long as you use the latest plugin and VPK.

the vpk at the front page works flawlessly for me aswell. (linux server)
Bishop_erotic, vpk works just fine on 2.0.2.3. If it dosen't for you, you either missing the "L4D2 Addon Support from steam/tools (could be other files too), or you are not a legit user.
Try reinstall the game or verify your files with steam.

The melee .vpk shuts down custom maps for some odd reason. It's a gametracker linux l4d2 server. Very odd.
