L4D team glow effect in my Mod?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to help my team research how to achieve the same effect in L4D that makes teammates glow through walls and only to other teammates and not the enemy.

I thought maybe doing a version or following some of the wall hack methods but not entirely sure. Maybe someone on here has already figured this out.

I'm so stumped right now. I'm sure its possible though as its happening for L4D.

What mod you want it for? Also I think that glow effect is a new valve's technology I have no idea how they done it.

You mean like in the HL1 engine glow? GlowShell glow then.. I tryed it once, but it didn't popup for some reason =/
