Yay commercialism [/sarcasm]. Well, it's not like one goes out and buys it every year (hopefully not). You buy a good set of lights and they last you a good while =p. Also considering they're only outside for maybe a week to a month.

It is also important to note, that not everyone does this (for example my family).
