I'm trying to build a USB device, so I can recieve input from an electromechanical device, specifically a universal remote. For this, I'm gonna need some USB hardware, so does anyone know a good place to get:

1. USB interface hardware (the plug and chip needed to use it)
2. Low cost general purpose microprocessors/microcontrollers
3. LEDs (I love me some LEDs...)
