The irony is that he did it while I was trying to check this thread. I wish laws were harsher on DOSing. So annoying.

They aren't harsh for the same reason the government isn't overzealous about marijuana. There are way too many people that can just get the tools without understanding much about what they're doing, and just use them to DDoS. It's too accessible to actually crack down on.

The law doesn't actively seek out marijuana users, but when those users (especially dealers) are run into, they're taken care of. DOSing on the other hand, has to be proven to have done $5,000 in damage, according to U.S. law, even if it's known about. That means a free for all on profitless communities.

We knew this guy was doing other stuff to the community before this thread was posted. He's been removed and banned. He's also earned his country a ban. Tears.

Zero tolerance for people who misuse their position of authority in such vile ways.
