TraceAttack is also fired wor knives attacks, make sure the damagetype is different or if not, filter by attacker weapon.

dmgtype of knifeattacks is also dmg_bullet

does traceattack work for every attack? even ones which wasn't aimed at enemy but hit it with random? traceLine had problems with it

simply test it but i guess it should work, simply check the hlsdk code of a random gun, i only know how knife attacks are handled.

I think he's meaning like you can't detect all knife attacks with traceline, cause sometimes if you aren't aiming the enemy straight tracehull is used.
