Hey guys!

I dont know if this is an issue with AMXX, or a Bug, or simply a configuration issue so i thought i'd post it here...

When my server is on a map, lets say...Infested2.

Sometimes, at the end of the map, the server simply restarts the map we were on. (Infested2 in this case.)

Does anyone know why?

My MapCycle and Maps.ini dont have any double-entries and this doesnt happen all the time either.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

have you tried another map to see if it does it on other maps? maybe its the map. Maps have been known to stop working properly after updates. As in gungame at the moment people are finding some maps aren't working properly anymore.

The maps are randomly picked from the mapcycle. Maybe it just happens to pick the same map again as you just played. If you have a very small mapcycle that may be the case.

What is the value of the amx_nextmap cvar when playing this map?

No. The mapcycle is followed exactly as it is written in mapcycle.txt. You may be refering to mapchooser which chooses maps randomly only for the vote.

So far it hasnt happened on any other map EXCEPT the infested series (infested and Infested2) and my mapcycle (in my opinion) is pretty big.

(i am using mapcycle for the nextmap/rtv voting, and maps.ini if i want to start a custom-vote via amxmodmenu)

I am unsure but could the Galelio plugin be affecting this? Because i think i had to disable mapchooser (and any other map/map voting plugins so galelio's RTV would work correctly.

I know this doesn't solve your problem, but I had the same issue myself on my Day of Defeat server with a particular map. I was unable to resolve the issue myself, and nobody had a resolution to it, so the last recommendation I received was to simply remove (delete) the map.

Try doing that for awhile (maybe a week) then re-upload it and see how it is.

...and I don't have the Galileo plugin.

I can confirm this happens on most the maps i have that have their own map change function at the end of the map, it simply restarts itself.

Any map (like escape_series) with a button to change the map works fine.

Just finished crisis2 and the same happens, map restarts itself.

Anyone got ANY ideas other than 'Delete the map' ?

NOTE: The escape series maps seem to work ok when loading the next map in the series, so i have a theory, maps like infested2 and crisis2 must have a map change at the end to simply re-change to the same map...Thats all i can think of.
