Will admins be managed only by admins.cfg or will there be an option to manage admins via a webfront within the core setup of SourceMod?

I believe BAILOPAN has stated that sourcemod's core itself will not have web admin functionality. Though the following project: http://www.sourcebans.net/ will have the ability to manage admins and admin groups via a web interface, as well as house a bans database and all the happy-go-fun-time-web-stuff.

The administration of admins via a webfront is actually the only reason I stuck with Mani for so long. With multiple servers it is just gold. Without that, there are numerous administrative tools available that have pretty much the same functionality that SourceMod will have.

the project is basically a GameConnect project, there are a number of people, including myself, working on it.

SourceBans was a domain utilized for a steambans-like system a while back that GameConnect had, but now, since it's no longer utilized in that fashion we're using it for this. Also, AMXBans had admin management in it's systems too, so there's little to no reason for us to not do so? (it's more or less an amxbans port, but it's a start fresh from ground up port).

Any chance of compatibility with original amxbans plugin?
I run both HL1 and Source servers and I'd like to keep bans and admins for all my servers in one place.

From what I understand, original amxbans isn't supported by it's developer any more.

Due to different database table structures the likeliness of amxbans compatbility is slim, sorry. We're going for maximum optimization and amxbans doesn't exactly have an optimized table structure.

Now if someone wishes to develop an amxx plugin to work with the SourceBans table structure, more power to them ;).

IRC bans and kicks included

screen shot and demo uploads for ban requests

A place for players to request an unban

We will have an option for storing admins in an SQL database.

Ban requests, unban requests, demo and screenshot uploads, are all planned for SourceBans, not sure about irc tho.
