You can do the same thing using simple-chatcolors.
You just need to increase the buffer size.

As I said I don't have that game, so that's hard to do this plugin on that way.
I tested it with TF2 and there are no problems with it.

there are no logs, it sometimes works, sometimes doesnt work, (or was it that it worked in spectator only now that i think of it?)
and it repeats the chat twice, and insurgency is free to download.
