Current TF2 Functionality:
When you view another player and press the 'F' key, you see information on one of that players currently equipped items (see attachment). Pressing it again will cycle to the next equipped item.

Desired TF2 Functionality:
In addition to the above, When you press the 'V' key (or some other key), you see information on one of YOUR currently equipped items. Pressing it again will cycle to the next equipped item.

I haven't figured out which scripting function to use to even begin to make this this happen. Any ideas?

This is a client side feature. Servers have no control over the inspect.
