I know this has been discussed on a broad spectrum... but I'm currently planning on putting up a vps for a couple servers. Completely new to linux, but have decided going with centos 7 as an OS due to people recommending it.
I've said I'm completely new.. because I've used putty before to login and download HLDS and everything... then FTP for the rest of my server things.. I've created launch scripts and all that and cron jobs after hours of googling.
However, this stuff is very difficult for me.. and i've done so much research into how to tweak my kernel to run a steady 1000 fps.. I'm almost about ready to pay somebody to do this for me (that offer does stand honestly) But, from a hands on perspective.. how the hell do I do this.. when I read any instruction it sounds like jibberish.. cause I dont know how to get around the os that well.. and honestly I can't dig anything up that's centos 7 / hlds / kernel related on google at all.
Anyone care to help.. even if you have to give me a completely dumbed down tutorial... or take my $$$$ lol
