Hey folks!

After days and weeks of being a silent and reading-only member on here, I finally registered today. I was browsing the forums before posting and found it best matching to post my problem here; if it's the wrong section, I apologize.

I'm currently trying to revive an old legendary RPG Scoutzknivez Deathmatch server as I had in CS:S for CSGO. I probably had one of the most, if not the most, populated servers back then.

I remember back then I could easily connect with FileZilla to the server and edit and up/download all the files from and to there. When I'm connecting with FileZilla now I only see folders with a question mark on them but when I open them, there aren't any files like server.cfg and autoexec.cfg visible. I can see those only from my gameserver provider's interface and edit them there. I tried to work with it that way but the problem is, that I also can't see all the Sourcemod, SM:RPG files on the FTP which makes it impossible to finish as the SM:RPG provided by my server hosters obvsly is an old version with some buggy features as a lot of rpg upgrades like impulse do not work.

Any idea's how I can make all files visible on FTP? I tried disabling all filters, force show hidden files, that did not work.

Thanks!

Try reconnecting to the ftp server and refresh the folder content if it still doesn't display the content contact your game server provider.

Exacly, but i wouldn't use Filezilla

Try WinSCP, also CTRL+ALT+H on opened FTP window it will display also hidden files.

There is nothing wrong with using FileZilla.

There is plenty wrong with it, cases of malware and bundled adware, are good enough reasons to not use it.

Seems like that was the issue. I tried contacting my provider, explaining my problem and they just told me "not possible".

I tried another server hoster now and everything is as it should be and as I remember from years ago.

Thanks everyone for the quick responsess, I'll just change the provider.

How about not using a bundled version of any software

Anyway, glad a new provider worked out for you.
