    About:
    • Modern version of [L4D2] Bacteria Sounds from AtomicStryker.
    • Thanks to paul92 - For the request.
    • This patches the game and unlocks it for all gamemodes.


    CVars:

    Saved to l4d2_bacteria.cfg in your servers \cfg\sourcemod\ folder.

    PHP Code:
    l4d2_bacteria_allow "1"         // 0=Plugin off, 1=Plugin on.
    l4d2_bacteria_ver               // Bacteria Sounds plugin version.

        - Added better error log message when gamedata file is missing.

    Installation
    1. Click "Get Plugin" and put the .smx file into your servers \addons\sourcemod\plugins\ folder.
    2. Download the .txt gamedata file and put into your servers \addons\sourcemod\gamedata\ folder.

    Valve decided to remove them from versus modes, still can be heard in coop. They're different musical elements played when special infected spawn. Check the sounds/music/bacteria folder.

    With this plugin, the music of the infected plays while you are a ghost not yet spawned. This is very bad because it basically tells the other survivor team what you are going to use. Is this intentional or a bug?

    Sure but the music shouldn't play while you are a ghost and not spawned. It doesn't make any sense. You should hear it when an infected is actually spawned on the map, not while it's not spawned.

    All this plugin does it memory patch the game removing the gamemode block. The rest is Valve logic. If they play when Ghost, then that's how Valve made it happen, I don't care. If you want the faked method that probably only plays when they spawned, use the previous plugin this replaced.

    Ah so that's the reason why they removed it in the first place. I should have expected that from valve. Sorry for wasting your time.
