I have the same but I use windowns
I use nfo to.

PHP Code:
/////////////////////////
//Network Tweaks - Increase network performance

rate 30000
sv_minrate 1000
sv_maxrate 10000
sv_mincmdrate 33
sv_maxcmdrate 33
net_splitpacket_maxrate 100000
Thats what I use for net settings, but Im willing to guess that its a plugin causing the lag, could you post. sm version, meta version, plugin and exst list ?

NFO is widely known as one off the best hosts for gaming, you should perhaps look into them before you accuse them off overselling their vps.

I'm almost 100% sure its plugin related, or worst case faulty installation off os/dep', I've had one or two issues with their european internap system, but thats almost brand new, so thats to be expected.

Did you asked them to check usage logs on the node your VPS is on ? I once had issues because somebody on the same node was running something using 100% cpu and network.

Could be but the fact remains that virtual servers are not suitable for gaming because of the high cpu usage. I bet a bare metal dedicated server will solve all your problems.
