It's the red hue. But it works with any pic really, this pic is just see-through.

It's what I was talking about yesterday Quim, using a model to show such things. There are severals HL1 mod which use this way.

It would be nice to have skilled modelers completing scripters work here. In this particular case, modelling is probably the only way of consistently and permanently having material as if it were in HUD.

Back to AddToFullPack, I'm planning on having a zombie server. One of the first things I decided to have was a different nightvision color. So, with a big help of ConnorMcLeod, I made a way without messages, but more cpu intensive of creating a fake nightvision. (It doesn't work for spectators)

The great difference to the other methods of faking nightvision is that it doesn't affect your weapon model (what isnt necessarily a good thing) and the screen effects like the one of the flashbang

Cvars:

fakenv_color "255 0 0"
fakenv_amount "100"
fakenv_effect "0"

Since it is a sprite you can apply rendering effects to it controlled by the cvar above.

Msg with a link with w/e you do with these. Chances are if you are gonna try and do what i think you are, i will be interested and want it. There are 2 models here, 512x512 and 512 x 384 it depends on if you want it stretched or whatnot.
