Ever since Sourcemod 1.7, Gamerules signature and offset has been removed from stock sdktools gamedata. You can check that for yourself, which made every function not work that came after it. Moving GameRules to Downtown gamedata solves this problem.

The other change was switching the debug to error for gamedata in vglobals.cpp and no longer block all functions if a single signature breaks. Makes sense to throw error for missing signature as opposed to only show it under debug version.

Signatures for gamerules are not needed!

Haven't looked at the code yet, but I tried your binary with current stable Sourcemod build. It doesn't work on windows.

Does Left4Downtown2 not work for local servers? I keep crashing every time I use any version from this thread. I even tried Spirit's version on post #909 and I still crash. The only time I don't crash is if I use the one from the original thread by Downtown1.

My guess would be you are running l4d1, instead of l4d2 or you have bad signatures.

I'm actually only using SM & MM for L4D2. I'm not sure how to really fix the crashes since I did follow the installation instructions carefully.

If it helps, I'm running on Windows.

EDIT: I used Marudo's version on post #817 and I'm no longer crashing.
