Do I understand correctly that we are still allowed to change weapon v_,whatever_ models
as long as we don't spoof their existing items?
Meaning that I can create new weapon with my own model/name and stuff and in case of
an zombie mod for example, change the zombie knife models?

I take it because I saw a zombie mod:
https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=272546

And they seem to change the knife models for zombies, correct?
I also heard something about auto detection.
Could you guys fill me in on this?

Thanks!

You shouldnt be interfering with a players loadout options.

This would include overriding a knife model or gloves.

Read this, specially the part where it says
Quote:
[To clarify: it is also not acceptable to provide players with custom models and/or weapon skins that do not exist in the CS:GO ecosystem]
That whole text is strikethrough.
This is what makes it confusing, so does it mean that doesn't apply?

Reading everything else, they strictly seem to state that they don't want us
to trick player to believe that they have a skin they don't own.

It seems that I have to contact them personally.
I will update you guys here if I hear back from them.
In case someone else find this confusing.

Here's another really confusing thing:

This is not allowed:
Quote:
– Interfering with systems that allow players to correctly access their own CS:GO inventories, items, or profile.
This is allowed:

(3) I use a mod that grants stock primary/secondary weapons and grenades to players through a gun selection menu. The mod only drops stock weapons and does not grant knives. Is this mod ok?
Yes, it’s fine to provide basic stock weapons to players via a mod.
There are also servers that require people to pay for VIP to access their own weapon skins. How do these things not fall under "Interfering with systems that allow players to correctly access their own CS:GO inventories, [and] items"?

Valve's implementation of their own rules is so arbitrary it's almost impossible to do it right.

Um. What? Are you asking who else uses these servers? The few I went into were really popular and yet had really bad performance, like every really popular CS:GO server does nowadays. It doesn't make sense. I wonder if these servers pay to have users in them all the time so others will join up. Maybe that's one reason advertisement plugins seemed to integral to their performance.
