I found a download link, I'm downloading at full connection speed, but I still haven't managed to get myself a license-key.

Try it here:
32bits: [wb.dlservice.microsoft.com]
64bits: [wb.dlservice.microsoft.com]

PS: You have to use IE for that.

URL doesn't work danielkza and now the Technet page is linking to a 404 error when I try to download them, same with the link in the first post

Yep just started to get the 404 error.

And I started my download through this link, it uses an ActiveX downloading manager, that is, thankfully, still working. Currently at 14%, 197KB/s (connection max).

EDIT: Me and my big mouth, DL just started to fail.

The links from Technet now give a "Data Transfer Interrupted", so something is happening.

EDIT: The Technet page changed. It now says "Windows® 7 Beta coming soon!"

Windows 7 sucks, its like a mix of XP&Vista and just doesn't appeal me very much.

So I really don't get what you want. It takes the best from Vista: The renewed interface, better security, better networking, long-standing bug fixes, revamped explorer, better searching, better memory management (yes, not using memory IS NOT a real strategy).

And mixes this all with LOTS of optimizations, and new things like Libraries, Home Groups, new taskbar, etc.

I'm really looking forward to it, much more than I was with the Vista launch,

You only listed the best of Vista. I see no XP there.

Basically, the demand was so high that microsofts servers got DDoSed by everyone who wanted the beta. I have my 2 Copies (x86 and x64) and are currently running them on my respective laptops.

And I must say, they are QUITE nice.

What was your rationale for proposing such a thing?

I did some quick testing on my mom's laptop (no space in my desktop), which is not very powerful (Turion X2 1,8GHz, 1GB RAM, GF 7150), and it ran MUCH better than Vista. I really liked the new taskbar, (obviously with a few tweaks), the Libraries seem to be quite nice, and the performance allowed me to play at least some light games, and that was not possible in Vista.

I think finally MS did something right. Hope it does not RRoD like my X360 did.

Yup, I'm enjoying it, except for 1 bug that I have found. I kill explorer.exe and the rest of the computer stops basically. I can't load any webpage, can't close most programs without them failing to respond. The only thing that I can still use is mIRC, and that is probably because I had it running and connected already.
