Hi,

It has been a few months since the custom MOTD lf4d2 does not open.

That's about 3 months that does not work anymore.

I wonder if anyone else has this problem to display the MOTD of lf4d2.
And if you could fix the thanks for sharing a solution.

This is my MOTD:

Maybe somebody knows something about it? Display the contents of host.txt, but not the contents of motd.txt, neither with the base nor with anything else.

in l4d2, if your web site forces use httpS, it is not work in-game motd page. blank or not. disable your site httpS or use flexible on cloudflare for http and https using.
It is always nice to see people wanting to help others, but please don't throw garbage out in the wild:

1. Did you ever look at "webs.com", and realize that it is a "free" website thing?

Free websites definitely eliminates the potential goal of "changing any settings at all".

2. "Flexible SSL" from CloudFlare is only relevant for the connections happening at "back end" connections.

According to your description, you're suggesting to remove SSL from the "front end". Two different things.

Even if had the option to control it, and you switched from Full to Flexible SSL, you would still have your issues, as the "front end" (part visible to "end user" / "browser") would still be running over HTTPS.

See: End-to-end HTTPS with Cloudflare - Part 3: SSL options

Either way, you won't get anywhere with that kind of thing (which would be silly anyway), unless you're in control.

Changing HTML content on a third party server has no relevance to restarting your game server or game client.

Simply re-join the server and you're good to go( if you did everything correct).
