Due to the heavy modifications done to GMod by Gary, The traditional SourceBans system doesn't work at all anymore. There's are some LUA versions with some documentation you can try on the www.Sourcebans.net website. Here's the link:

I remember asking this a long time ago, but I remember that Sourcebans no longer uses the admins.cfg file. Because of this, I never updated from 1.5.2 git 170 as having to use something else to manage admins would take a lot of time.

If I upgrade to the latest version, how does it work to add and manage admin permissions?

Also is it possible to keep the existing database intact if I would update Sourcebans?
