Hey, Im Jamear, and Im having trouble with my ckSurf server. Im deadass trying to link my easy server tier 1-2 so the points carry over to the hard server tier 3-6. Swing the boys some help and pm.

Can anyone help me? This is not normal and totally not legit. What is even weirder --- Nobody with this name have ever joined my servers (i checked player-analytics logs). So it must be something like NameChanger with hacks or idk. But that's not important. Important is this. Can you help me guys?

Is this new exploit or something?


EDIT2 : I've translated that name and it means something like "world" in Romanian language. Is this exploit from Romanians? xD

im not a database expert, but my first guess would be some sort of encoding problem.

See if setting the database to utf8 fixes the problem.

How could this help? I already have these "names" in database.

well it would help by preventing further names from being entered incorrectly, for 1. secondly, youd need to find a way to go through and fix the erroneous entries. how you do that, I dont know. i think you would need to find a way of identifying them and seeing what characters each of the wrong characters corresponds to. its like a puzzle. worse comes to worse you just remove those entries

Is there anyway to enable a motd on sqlite database of ckSurf? If ckSurf fails to load, my motd shows. If it loads there is no motd. How do I get an MOTD working?
EDIT: Even on MySQL MOTD still doesn't pop up on connect. Anyone know how to fix? I have the cvar enabled but ckSurf is blocking it

Its in UTF the whole time.

BTW happend on my surf server right now as well. OH MY GOD !

Is it technically possible, to change names like this to right name by checking steamID? Like make php script which can do this? Is anyone able to make this for €€€€ ? If yes, add me on steam or write a message
