Hi,

Recently opened a new server with latest HLDS.
Also had old version of HLDS lying on my HDD. I gave it a try to confirm my suspicions.

I don't know if anybody will agree, but damn, it feels quite laggy compared to the older one.
The older feels a lot smoother. I've used pingboost 3 on both idk if this is glitched on the new one.
But one thing is sure, it doesn't feel the same.

The 'reg' ('registry') seems also way off. Sometimes you perfectly aim an opponent in the chest and it does a headshot!? Also tried on different body parts. Sometimes the hits pass litterally through an oppononent without any dmg done to him.

I wonder if other people experienced the same. I use the current one, non beta, build 6027
Ran on top notch hardware and network (on linux)

Yes also it depends on the map, but try to test these things:
  • Check both servers on the same maps
  • Check both servers without AMX Mod X
  • Check your ping in the both servers and post the results here
But note that -pingboost 3 Start Command Line doesn't work in the latest version (idk about the older ones). It only works for Linux if I am not wrong.
