My GameServers TF2 servers are refusing to connect to any DBI host other than what Im guessing is the localhost IP. Looking through their support forums, I see a lot of people have found a solution by requesting ports be opened. I just wanted to know what ports exactly need to be opened for DBI to work?

MySQL uses 3306 by default, if I recall correctly.

Outbound connections are not firewalled on GameServers.com servers. This is not your issue.

Youre right. I found out it was my webhost denying the connection. I still dont know why the error message being returned involved some different IP though...

Is there a way to find the IP address SourceMod is using to connect with DBI? Its apparently different from the in-game IP for some reason.

Look at the error message the server returns. It should say something like "Rejected [email protected]"
