Old 07-16-2005 , 09:49   Upcoming features for clanmatch-plugin(update)
#1

[updated]2005/09/07:
- More Menus for every client-action
- Fix Bug with TeamleaderMenu, showing empty menu for opposite team
- different clientcvars.cfg dependant on which match.cfg is loaded.
- different cfg-files for warmup, kniferound and half. This is to set e.g. for kniferound the roundtime higher or give more money for warmup.

Solution :
- There will be different configurations-settings for all .cfg Files. They are stored in subdirs under cfg/clanmatch.
For example cfg/clanmatch/esl containing match.cfg, settings.cfg, match_ot.cfg and so on. If one file doesnt exist, the default-file under cfg/clanmatch is loaded.
To start a match with esl-settings : /match clan1 clan2 de_dust esl
- new cfg-files for warmup(warmup.cfg), kniferound(kniferound.cfg), match-start(start.cfg).
- You can also provide different settings with this technique. Perhaps Match with 15 rounds or only with 10 rounds.
- also different clientcvars - settings are available.
I will provide several examples in the next release.

Hopefully this will fulfill many of your requests !!!!
Do you have other things which needed to be implemented, so please post it.

To understand :
1. Only the Teamleader can say ready and notready, choose side, etc.
2. The say as chat-messages isnt blocked, so all can use say during match for chat
3. How to specify the teamleader ???. Is this part of the name, or can it be a client-specific cvar ???

The online league i admin in.
Team leaders wear a [TL] tag in their name.

Would be nice if only they could say ready/unready & use public chat.

First off I would like to compliment you on a job well done with the plugin. I get asked where to find your plugin all the time when scrimming other clans.
I would like to request the ability to accept or decline the ability to record a demo thru a menu when the match starts. The one main complaint I get from people is that their computer is lagging because it can't handle demo'ing and playing at the same time. It would be nice if a little menu popped up when the match is loaded asking if you would like to record a demo or not. I require that my entire team record, but most visiting clans would rather not.

Two possibilites to do that.
1. The easiest way is a client-specific cvar which disables the demo. Every client who dont want demos to be recorded puty _cmp_match_nodemo "1" in their userconfig.cfg.

2. The second way is an menu, where you can choose. The popup of this menu must be configurable, so that others who dont want to choose are not complaining. The problem here is when to show the menu. When the match starts its a little bit too late, so its must be when match is loaded.

I would prefer the first possibility, what do you think ???

Well I understand the simplicity of the first, but the problem is that (well at least in my case) it's the visiting team that doesn't want to record and asking them to quit out of CS to add a cvar to their user.cfg is probably not going to happen.
Could you have the menu popup before the match is loaded. Say maybe when you type cmp_match the first thing it does is pull the menu up then once the demo decision is made, it starts the match?
Another thing, is there a way to stop the demo from the console? If there is, perhaps you can have the menu execute that command on each client not wishing to record.
Thanks for your attention on this matter.

Another question, why dont you record SrcTV-Demos on your server ???
Then there are all players in the demo.
By the way i will put the demo-menu on the list for the next release.
cmp_match_rectype "0"
// 0 -> No record.
// 1 -> Record Demo.
// 2 -> Record HLTV.
// 3 -> Record Both.
// 4 -> Record Demo with choosing by menu
// 5 -> Record Both with choosing by player specific demo by menu

Because we want first person demos recorded from each player on the team so we can review them later.
Thank you very much for adding this capability to your plugin.
