Hi All

I have two home servers of CS for my clan, i want 5 vs 5 matchs but my servers gets spikes of lag every 5 minutes, normally with 8 players the ping of all are between 60 - 90, but every 5 minutes jump to 150 or 200.

My System Spec of the two Computers are:

OS: Windows XP Professional SP3
RAM: 1 Gb
Procesor: Intel Atom CPU N270 1.60 GHz
Download Bandwitch: 1024 Kbps
Upload Bandwitch: 512 Kbps

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
RAM: 2 Gb
Procesor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.7 GHz
Download Bandwitch: 1024 Kbps
Upload Bandwitch: 512 Kbps

The Drek's Rate Calculator (http://www.reece-eu.net/drekrates.php)
says me that the system specs and the upload bandwitch of the two computers can hold on 10 players, but the lag is horrible

512 kbps doesn't enough?

here on my country (Venezuela) there are plenty of servers without lag and they use 512 kbps of upload connection too

it was just the most plausible explanation, maybe your bandwidth is changing.
