Hello everyone. I was re-doing maps for CS 1.6 and decided to continue the maps I was making as well as the textures I was making. Everything was fine until I wanted to add textures from other maps to the texture pack I was making. When I did, these new textures were displayed as they should in the program. However, when I enter the game, these new textures become the mythical error texture (black and pink squares). This texture had already appeared many years ago when I was making maps for CS 1.6 and the problem was that I had exceeded the limit of texture packs I could add to the VHE ( 8 ). I had more than 8 texture packs added at that time and that's why this texture was showing that I had exceeded the limit. However, now I'm using only 6 texture packs. halflife.wad, cstrike.wad, de_aztec.wad, zhlt.wad, xuber3.wad and beta_ctf_aztec.wad. The last 2 texture packs are created by me. Most of the textures inside xuber3.wad are modded but the ones in beta_ctf_aztec are not. It doesn't make sense that I've gone over that limit with only 6 packs. I don't know what's going on with the memory or the program or the game and I don't even know if that's the problem. The Valve Hammer Editor doesn't give me any errors when compiling and all it says is a Warning saying that certain textures are larger than expected. But it still compiles perfectly. I've added small textures and they work fine, but textures as big as 256x256 or a bit more (not more than 512), are giving me this error. I don't understand why this happens if there is literally a texture in de_aztec that is 512x512 which is the "Special Thanks" and it works perfectly when I add it to the map.

For testing, I made a stupid texture in paint, then modified it in Photoshop by adding the necessary transparency parameters following the tutorials on making transparent textures and I also had this error.

I also tried making just one map where only 1 texture pack was added and I still had this texture error.

Note: All texture resolutions are divisible by 16. The map works perfectly and the only thing that doesn't work is the textures that are shown in black and pink squares.

Can someone help me with this please? I've never seen this problem before.

Never *beep*ing mind guys. I am so stupid. I had the .wad file but not the new textures added to that files to load them into the game. I had it only in the Valve Hammer Editor. I could fix it. Thanks anyways...
