I would prefer to execute code one time, letting engine does its job, instead of hooking such forward. It would be more efficient to alter game_player_equip directly.

Depend on what you want, if you want to let players choose to use it or not, then, you should use keyvalue (+ you save an entity).
But what is sure is that fm_give_item is useless in this plugin (and strings checks in fm_give_item stock)

Best to do IMO is to release 2 versions of the plugin.

Agreed fm_give_item is pointless. I think arkshine misunderstood the "set physic keyvalue", altering game_player_equip directly is not more efficient here. I don't agree with releasing 2 versions though for something like this.

Which makes this pointless because you can just set the cost to 0 in the other one (and that actually makes the other better because they are the same except with the other you can set a cost if you wanted to).


You should improve upon the other add a cvar cost, add cvar choice to auto give each spawn if cost is 0, set with physic keyvalue instead of give item, add optional ItemPickup icon with set keyvalue method. You can even add seperate method of commands to add and remove the longjump so it also be standalone admin control instead of purchase or client command.

All I'm saying is no point in releasing something that has already done to remove features from it when it can already be done with the features there.
