Yes, because file renames are certainly architecture-dependant, especially in a 32-bit process.

You should create a symlink into tf/orangebox/bin/ named dedicated.so pointing to dedicated_srv.so or just renaming the file. That will at least bring the server up, but Sourcemod will still be broken :/

I thought about doing that. I just don't want to forget the symlink is there and then in the future another update breaks because I forgot that I had sym linked it in the past.

Perhaps tonight I will try a clean install.

Also, FWIW, I'm running Debian 6.0.6 32 BIT (Turnkey Core 12.0) to be exact.

Thanks to the additional reports, I'm pretty sure its architecture independant.

Well, I got my systems working just by using the srcds_linux from HERE in this thread here.

Still daft though, hopefully valve will fix their mess-up asap.

Steps all I did.
Thats all I did.

They're not, and not really advised.

The correct fix is to roll it back to an old version, and has nothing to do with SourceMod or any 3rd party plugins - a clean download alone doesn't run without modification.
Quoted from the other thread for people to see here.
