Hi,

After 3 months i finally got all 3 servers at a state where i can call them "finished". We all know a server is never finished but I'm quite pleased atm.

Of all 3 servers i have 1 server where the CPU limiter kicks in and restarts automatically by NFO.

Are you 100% sure the restarts are NFO being dogs because of high cpu usage?

Sounds a little strange to me.

Ps. You plugin list jumps a big number to 74.
Pps. Try using net_graph 5 and taking a screenshot at the crash from your game client (before you d/c).
Ppps. You might to mention tick rates and slot counts.

That will be rather hard cause it seems to "restart" while loading a map.

I got NFO to finally shutdown the auto restart system, but the question still remains, what is causing these spikes?

Ok. This sounds like a hang.

Edit: 98% for 5 mins. It is a hang!

Is it always the *same* map(s)?

That's what i orginally thought but if it was a "hang" it would show up on Accelerator like i had before right?

*edit* Also if that was the case it would be way more common. Not once or twice a day when only running 5 maps with a 15 minute timelimit.

Nope. If its a hang accelerator wouldn't get it.

Let me define hang.

The server finds itself in a infinite coding loop. So it sits there using 100% cpu.

The cause could be heaps of things.

Have these hangs always effected this server or only recently started?

But in previous situations these "hangs" on mapchange have always created a crashlog on Accelerator for me.

Those are all confirmed "hangs".

*edit* I'm only guessing the CPU spikes happen on mapchange, i have not been around to witness the last couple of "hangs".

Hmm try this stuff first. Normal advise.

1. Update / validate server (be carefull of loosing whitelist and mapcycle/list files)
2. Update sm and mm to latest stable versions
3. Disable* all non critical server plugins

Do the hangs at map change still occur?

I'm going to update sm and mm tommorow morning when the servers are empty.

No, the hangs no longer occur, had to remove a couple of maps though.

Updating did not do the trick, i am now removing plugins i do not need.
