After today's update 15/9/2012
I was told that players are unable to hear footsteps when the player cannot been seen.
I made a video to replicate the problem

I understand that SMAC wasent made to fully support CS:GO but it was working fine before this update.

If footsteps were changed from the SNDCHAN_BODY channel then that would explain the issue. I'll have to update and give it a try, thanks.

Confirming the issue. It seems like the client will ignore EmitSound calls if they're sent multiple times in the same tick. I'm not sure what changed in the update that would cause this.

I'll have to do some more testing later to further narrow down the problem.

I was hoping Tuesday's "big" update would magically fix this. The issue can be followed on bug #1607.

Cool that someone made something like that "anty cheat plugins"

But i cant use....

I have 24 slots server whit tickrate 128 and if i install all that plugins my server fps start to dancing...

i lose my stable 128 Server Fps...

Is there any script like this but only against WH and that don't make my fps start to dance??

It shouldn't be a problem anymore, but it also makes the module slightly less effective with regards to SoundESP. I still plan to find a real solution for this.

This anti Wallhack cheat doesn't do anything anyway. We have tested it on our server. The person running the wallhack has no problems whatsoever.

How do you quantify that it is not working?
Could you pm God-Tony details on the hack that is being used?
