Hmmm... I've been neglecting my CS 1.6 server for a while. I went into it today, and noticed that the HTML-based MOTD that was previously redirecting to a web-page is no longer working.

Not sure when CS stopped honoring that stuff in the MOTD. I guess it could be like over a year ago?

Also tried a flat HTML file (HTML code directly in the motd.txt file, with no re-directs - just plain HTML content). Clicking on any of those links does not work anymore - clicking on them goes nowhere.

Just wondering when that changed?

UPDATE: Nevermind. Not sure what I was doing-wrong. But using the single-url-as-only-line-in-file thing started working again for me. Maybe the file was corrupted or something.

UPDATE-2: Actually, I think I figured it out. I guess the CS 1.6 MOTD browser did not like being directly to HTTPS link. I dropped the "S" and made it go to the plain/non-SSL version of the URL and it worked.
