hello there

recently i caught alot of players in my server using these weird ass cheats that add to their steam client alot of fake cvars,

these cvars allow them to turn on ESP,Aimbot,Auto-Bhop,no recoil, freelook mode and alot more disgusting stuff.

now i know you could say that i should simply ban them but unfortnately the cs 1.6 community at least in my region is slowly and surely dying and i cannot afford to lose a player

and unfortnately it seems like more and more players are getting these hacks

keep in mind they all work properly nothing is bullshit about this

and the most annoying thing about this is that they can easily change the command from kk to ks for example so that the command would be "ks_kb_speedup" instead of "kk_kb_speedup"

if anyone has an idea on how to block these cheats that would be much apprecieted

query_client_cvar is not the solution

You can't block them, because they are not server-side commands, they don't exist unless you're using 3rd party cheats, simply ban them.

I agree that banning them is your only option. The more you allow to do it the more others will too so being lenient on them won't help anything. You could even consider unbanning after a couple weeks and see if they've learned their lesson (but that's not likely).

i usually handle the situation like that and it seems to work but you they can always turn them on by simply restarting their game

Then you'll have to ban permanently. Otherwise, the only definitive solution is to turn off your server.

Try to ban them , if they have dynamic ip address try to use bancfg

I think there are a lot of PLUGINS that block it, if they change IP there's a Range ban

What about simply banning them by STEAM_ID?
