Learning is much easier with new menus as they are much more simple and straight forward.

Really the only benefit of old-style menus is the ability to customize the numbers, an option that will probably be introtuced to new-style menus soon enough.

I want to learn both styles completely.And this plugin that I want to make can only be made in the old style.

I don't see how not having the option to stylize the numbers doesn't allow you to make your plugin.
