Hey,

I've gotten hands on a specific plugin which in theory should help my server.
However I'm not very good with plugins, and the source of this plugin kind of susses me out.

If someone here knows how to decompile a .vdf file and could check it out, I'd be greatful.

What does a vdf file have to do with a plugin?

This is where my suspiscion arises, he said it was a plugin, yet it's a .vdf accompanied with a .dll.
Supposedly to fix a tick rate issue when settings are supposedly right, but I'm not risking it unless I have someone who knows what they're doing telling me if it looks suspect or not.

Unless we don't talk about the same thing, this is just a configuration file (key/value format) that you can open with any text editor.

The DLL is the plugin, the VDF just tells the server how to load it.

PM me a link to whatever you've got and I'll take a look.

vdf + dll file = extension

What you are looking at is an extension, not a plugin. They are similar in a way that they extend the game's abilities. You need to provide more information in regards to this matter.

What game? What version of Metamod, and Sourcemod? What do you want from this extension?

Well I run a surf server in CS:GO, apparently even with 128tick the tickrate is still behind a little bit, meaning if you wanted to hit someone moving at high speeds, you'd have to aim slightly infront of them to compensate for the odd 1 or 2 ticks lagging behind.

This extension is supposedly a fix for that, but I'm unsure on how that would work exactly.

You will always have some discrepancies between tickrate. A static 128 at all times is not possible. Not sure what this extension can do to make it stable.
