For a person like me that was playing with pentium 4, quad core is super duper good I seriouly don't know the model. the onlything here that is written is Quad Core - X4. GeForce 9800 DDR3 GT avarage? you guys may be rich :O

nVidia's latest line is the GeForce 200 series. The 9800 GT is the second best of the 9 series (best is 9800 GTX+), but is what I consider average since the 200 series is much better. If you are running Windows, you can go into your System Information and you can see the CPU brand and model number. Mine at home is Core2Quad Q9550 (best in the Core2Quad series). While Core i7 is the latest for Intel, you will most likely need a liquid cooled system to run it right. Xeon's are best used on server hardware, not PCs.

Does the dedicated server even know how to use more than 1 core at a time?

Now, I have a phenom 9950 black edition running at 3GHz. With some nice RAM and not too bad graphic card. When I run dedicated server and play on it together with some friends on LAN, I get more latency than I get on my public server witch is about 150 miles from my home. Thats wired, considering it is only cs 1.6.

C'mon Yami, thats not an average computer. Maybe an average gaming computer, but an average one actually is a sempron/athlon/core2duo which are office computers.

That pc is not the FUCKING BEST COMPUTER IN DA WORLD, though is a nice one which can handle almost all games in a med-high settings. (Probbably all games in max graphics but crysis and similar ones)

Since this is a sort of gaming community, I probably am comparing it to the average gaming pc. If you compare it to a home office/personal pc, then it is more on the higher end.
