The Jump Pack power-up has been broken since 2012 or before -- need citing.

This Power-Up enables you to perform a special jump that moves farther and faster than a normal jump. This is a very effective tool for flag runners as it provides players with a slight speed advantage over other players in the game. In order to perform this jump, while moving forward you must hold down the crouch key, and quickly press the jump key.

NOTE: The OpFor CTF Jump Pack differs from the Half-Life Jump Pack in that this item (like all other OpFor CTF Power-Up items) can only be carried by one player at a time. However, it still offers great increase in speed and mobility when used properly and can be one of the most effective Power-Up items a flag runner can employ.

Thank you. I am pleased it was a refreshing read. Holding myself from adding too much amidst missing a much anticipated Half-Life III release wasn't the hardest aspect of the project.

Getting Valve to believe the issue exists, care or believe it can be fixed remains years in. I simply got fed up and took care of it.

The original version is now public. What makes it unique is on the larger maps the Speed Rune adds faster running, better vision and penguins in the jump pack.
  • The smaller sister plugin of this works fine but when a flag is captured it adds a line in the error log due to one of the natives. I explored it further, liked the shortness of that version. This original version never had that issue so here it is.
  • Map specific patches to counter-balance the ice on op4ctf_hairball was requested and added.
  • Opposing Force seems to be better with adding a knife on spawn like Counter-Strike. This plugin provides that too.
  • Hivehand is provisioned on spawn also. Better with modified version.
